Give us Microsoft 365 admin access
How to safely grant our team administrative access to Microsoft 365 (Office 365) to configure domain DNS and ensure email deliverability.
If your business uses Microsoft 365 for professional email and collaboration, we may need administrative access to configure your domain's DNS records, authenticate your email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), or assist with a website-to-email migration.
Quick summary
Because Microsoft 365 requires admins to have an account on your domain, you
cannot simply invite support@chykalophia.com. Log in to the Microsoft 365
admin center, go to Users → Active users, click Add a user (e.g.,
webmaster@yourdomain.com), assign them the Global Administrator role,
and share the credentials with us via a secure link.
Step-by-step instructions
Beginner 5 minutesLog in to the Admin Center. Go to admin.microsoft.com and sign in with your administrator credentials.
Navigate to Users. In the left-hand menu, click Users, then select Active users.
Add a new user. Click the Add a user button at the top of the list.
Set up our account. * First Name: Chykalophia * Last Name: Support *
Username: Create something functional like webmaster, admin, or
it-support at your domain.
Configure the password. Uncheck "Require this user to change their password when they first sign in" to prevent login loops for our team. Uncheck "Automatically create a password" and type a strong, custom password.
Assign the license. Assign a product license if email access is required, or create the user without a product license if we only need administrative portal access (this saves you from paying for an extra seat).
Assign Admin roles. On the Optional Settings page, expand the Roles section. Change the role from User to Global Administrator. (This level is required to configure Exchange settings and edit DNS records).
Finish and share securely. Review and finish creating the user. Then, use a secure link tool like One-Time Secret to send us the password. See our guide on sharing passwords safely.
